Beautiful bride Annelise and her husband Sam had less than six short months to plan their wedding as clearly confident Sam booked their romantic honeymoon to Greece before popping the question. Luckily for the couple everything just fell into place, less choices and less time led to quicker decisions which worked perfectly for the two of them. Deciding against any particular theme, they chose to pick elements that they liked such as a venue surrounded by nature as well as lots and lots of native flowers. Luckily for the bride, Sam was happy with a lot of the choices she made. They had a very relaxed wedding at the beautiful Canungra Valley Vineyards which was the perfect way to end six months of wedding planning, especially with a team of wonderful vendors that made the day easy and fun.
When Annelise came to the When Freddie Met Lilly studio she knew exactly what she wanted, a long-sleeved gown with a low back and she managed to find the perfect dress at the studio. She tried on approximately five dresses with the assistance of Vanessa and her sister and began to envision the perfect dress. She chose a gorgeous bespoke version of our Vixen Gown, which combined the classic silhouette of our Valentina Gown with long lace sleeves and delicately placed hand-cut flowers for the contemporary and elegant bride. When we asked how the gown made Annelise feel on her big, special day she said “I loved my gown, I just wished I got to wear it again!”
“Vanessa made the process so easy and fun! She is very creative, which was so helpful to me who finds it hard to see something before it’s finished! The dress was also finished so quickly which left heaps of time to make any small changes, taking the stress out of the experience.”
When it came to choosing a suit for the groom Annelise explained that she had nothing to do with it. Sam absolutely chose his own suit and at the beginning Annelise was a bit uncertain and not sure how a white suit would look but claims that the end result was amazing!
After the big day we asked Annelise if she had any tips for future brides and she responded, “Go with the style you are most comfortable in!” She then added more to her statement, “All the cliches about your wedding day are so true. I still can’t believe my wedding was 9 months ago and this time last year I was in the middle of planning it! We had the most perfect day that we will always remember and so happy we did the whole thing quickly, so I didn’t have time to get sick of planning! It was a really fun 6 months ending in a very laid-back chill wedding which is the perfect reflection of us. There isn’t anything I regret or would change. All of our vendors did a wonderful job and were so easy to work with - highly recommend to anyone planning their wedding!”
