A beautiful wedding for a beautiful couple! This wedding was made extra special by the input of family and friends to bring the day together. The wedding was held at Emma’s parent’s property and her talented friend styled the flowers for the day. See the vendors list at the bottom for her details. We had 5 months of planning while both of us were working full time and building our first home which was a bit crazy hahaha but everything went amazingly! There were a few little mishaps like a crash on the highway which held up most of the guests and our celebrant on the day, but nothing we could have changed. We overcame a huge storm that blew in the night before the wedding with lightning, huge winds and hail, which had us running around trying to save everything that had just been set up from getting wet!
And then of course, the day of the wedding turned out to be the hottest day in October in 4 years hahaha! My partner is from New Zealand so his family and friends from back home were in for a bit of a shock with the heat.
We didn’t really have a theme in mind we just wanted it as simple, fun and relaxed as possible. I guess you could say our wedding was a bit country being held on my parents property. When I began looking for a dress I was looking for something a bit boho and the dresses I tried on looked lovely but they just didn’t feel right. One night I saw a dress online and it was amazing, so simple and classic. I spent the rest of the week dreaming of this dress and a few days later I met Charlotte at a bridal show. I showed her the photo and she said she could do it, I was ecstatic! We had discussed the suit together and then he went out one day with his mum and came back with something completely different which initially had worried me but it honestly turned out complementing my dress and our day even better then what I had planned.
I had tried on a few dresses, not a crazy amount though, but once I saw the photo of the dress I wanted I knew it was the one. The gown was perfect, I felt so beautiful and special! It was extremely comfy also which was a plus. The details on the sleeves were perfect! Definitely the most amazing dress and my partner loved it! He has commented many times since the wedding how much he loved the dress and how beautiful I looked in it which made me love it even more.
Everyone was extremely helpful! I felt so comfortable and I was very happy with each appointment throughout the process. WFML has such a beautiful and lovely team and I couldn’t have asked for more. I think the only tip I can give for picking a dress is to keep an open mind, even if you have had a particular design planned out for ages. The dress I chose was not something that had ever even crossed my mind but I wouldn’t change it for the world! And make sure you feel special, it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks as long as you love it.

Our amazing food was provided by ‘My Greek Cuzina’ at Redcliffe. They did such a wonderful job catering the wedding and their food is awesome!
