Set amongst the rustic beauty of their family farm, Carissa and Pete’s wedding was the epitome of love, laughter and country charm. With the golden afternoon sun filtering through the trees and the sound of laughter in the distance, this celebration was everything the couple had dreamed; a relaxed, joy-filled shindig surrounded by those they love the most.

Carissa and Pete first crossed paths in their local area, a connection that would grow into something truly special over time. Years later, on Carissa’s birthday, Pete stood at their front door and asked her to be his forever.
“I said, Are you serious?” I’m shaking! And he replied, Don’t fall apart on me now!” Carissa recalls with a smile. “It was my favourite moment.”

The couple’s vision was simple: a relaxed country style celebration with great food, good music and even better company.
“We wanted a shindig party and that’s exactly what we had,” Carissa says. With family and friends travelling from across Australia and even New Zealand, the farm was alive with love, laughter and heartfelt moments.
Their styling reflected their personalities perfectly; simple, country and full of warmth. From a charming drinks van to delicious wood-fired pizzas, every detail felt authentically them. The florals, grown locally in Dayboro, featuring stunning white roses and fresh, all-white arrangements that beautifully complemented the natural setting.

Initially, Carissa envisioned a boho-inspired gown, but the When Freddie Met Lilly team quickly helped her find a design that truly celebrated her figure and personality.
“You ladies quickly worked out my body shape and style and nailed the dress,” she says “When my husband saw me at the altar, his first words were, “WOW, I love the dress!”
The gown featured delicate floral lace and romantic sheer sleeves; effortlessly elegant and timeless.
“I loved the boutique,” Carissa adds. “It was classy yet small and I felt important.”

Carissa’s advice to brides-to-be is simple yet powerful: “Never second-guess yourself. Believe that you will look beautiful.”
Reflecting on her experience, she shares, “My experience with When Freddie Met Lilly was nothing short of amazing. They quickly understood my personality and style and for that I’m forever grateful.”

When asked about her favourite moment, Carissa doesn’t hesitate: “Marrying my guy, on the farm, surrounded by our family and friends. It was perfect.”
Here’s wishing Carissa and Pete an incredible journey ahead!
