Annabelle looked stunning on her wedding day in a fully bespoke When Freddie met Lilly gown. The happy couple's wedding plans came together somewhat unexpectedly stumbling upon The Calile Hotel with no expectations or vision for where they wanted to have their wedding and discovering a cancellation in six months time.
“We only had a six month planning period so it was all systems go from the minute we locked in the date. Which worked in our favour because I tend to be very indecisive and always seem to work better under pressure.”
All of the preparation paid off.. They were extremely fortunate to have all of their loved ones present on the big day, including many interstate and one international traveler.
Annabelle's advice for tackling short timeframe wedding plans: “Do not assume your experience is going to be like the reality TV shows (vomit emoji)! Your experience will be unique and special for you no matter what. The less expectation you have, the less pressure you will feel and the more you will enjoy the journey.”
Annabelle visited five bridal boutiques spread out over three weekends because bridal gown shopping is exhausting!!! Because of the short time frame (5 months - which seems like a long time, except in the world ofwedding dresses), she had very little stock to choose from. Fortunately, after finding When Freddie met Lilly her options opened up.
“I tried on half a dozen dresses at WFML when the lovely ladies suggested a custom made dress.”
Annabelle had the good fortune to go dress shopping with her mother and grandmother - "three generations of emotional ladies, and none of us cried!"
“My WFML dress was incredibly comfortable to wear. It was so easy to move on the dancefloor, go to the bathroom and sit down to eat.”
“Reflecting on the whole journey, I really want to express how important it is to take in all the little moments that make your heart so full. My fondest memories include gathering my family to run a production line to put together the wedding favours where the reward was wine and good tunes, rearranging our living room to practice our first dance (which was so much more romantic than the dance on the day) and reading the Celebrant’s script with my partner on the couch once she had sent the first draft through!”
Congratulations to the newly-weds!
