Nicole & Adam: A Love Story
Love often finds us when we least expect it. For Nicole, it was during a girls' trip to Byron Bay in 2019 that she met Adam. Little did she know, this spontaneous adventure would lead to a lifetime of happiness. From the very beginning, their relationship was filled with surprises, with Adam always planning something out of the blue.
The Proposal
The biggest surprise came during a weekend getaway to O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat. Nicole, unaware of what was to come, joined Adam for some mountain biking. But the real adventure happened at the highest platform of the treetop walk, where Adam got down on one knee and proposed. It was a moment filled with excitement, and thankfully, Adam didn’t drop the ring!
For Nicole, marriage is the ultimate commitment—a bond of love that ties two people together for life. She wanted their wedding venue to reflect that deep connection, which led them to Braeside Estate. The estate offers a unique indoor-outdoor feel, providing the perfect balance of privacy and proximity to the amenities of Broadbeach. It felt like a private retreat while still being close to everything their guests might need.
Family and Friends: A Destination Celebration
Family played a significant role in their special day. Loved ones traveled from New Zealand, Tasmania, and Newcastle to celebrate with them, making it feel like a destination wedding right on the Gold Coast. The gathering was intimate, surrounded by those who truly mattered to them.
When it came to choosing her gown, Nicole wanted something that stood out and reflected her personality. Inspired by her love for Guns N' Roses and the iconic dress from the "November Rain" music video, Nicole opted for a unique design that allowed her to switch into a fun, short skirt for the reception. It was the perfect blend of elegance and rock 'n' roll, capturing her spirit and making her feel truly herself.
Adam's outfit was just as special. Nicole and Adam chose the groomsmen's suits first, focusing on a casual look in green—a color Adam loves. Seeing him on the day, everything came together perfectly, making Nicole’s walk down the aisle even more memorable.
The When Freddie Met Lilly Experience
The experience at When Freddie Met Lilly was something Nicole will never forget. Vanessa and her team made her feel like she was shopping with a best friend—someone who understood her vision and supported her every step of the way. The dresses she chose were stunning, and the compliments she received only confirmed that she made the right choice.
A Day Filled with Laughter and Love
Nicole's wedding day was filled with laughter, love, and a few personal touches that made the day uniquely theirs. From the VB-themed undies and socks she gave to Adam and his best man, to the natural, earthy tones of their décor, every detail was thoughtfully planned. The styling was simple yet elegant, with florals and candles from Moss N Stone enhancing the already beautiful venue. Nicole’s bouquet, crafted by the talented Sandy from Moss N Stone, perfectly complemented the colors of the bridesmaids and groomsmen without overshadowing her stunning dress.
The day may have been fleeting, but the memories will last a lifetime. Nicole jokes that it’s a shame she can’t wear her dress every day—but for one unforgettable day, she lived her dream, surrounded by the people she loves.
