Meet Georgia and Jordan...
A Unexpected Encounter
Georgia and Jordan’s love story began in the most unexpected place—a McDonald’s, where the two first met while working together at 18 and 19. What started as friendly co-worker interactions soon blossomed into something more. Jordan’s small acts of kindness, like driving Georgia home during work breaks, caught her attention. Little did she know, this simple gesture would lead to a lifetime of love. One of these gestures brought Jordan to meet Georgia's mother for the first time. She instantly sensed something special, declaring, "He’s the one," even before Georgia and Jordan were officially a couple. It turns out, a mother’s intuition was spot on!
A Parisian Proposal
Fast forward a few years, and Jordan planned the perfect proposal in Georgia’s favorite city—Paris. In the gardens near the Eiffel Tower, Jordan got down on one knee and asked Georgia to spend the rest of her life with him. It was a picture-perfect moment in a location that held deep sentimental value for Georgia, making the proposal even more meaningful. For Georgia, marriage is a profound commitment—a partnership where both individuals are on each other’s team, supporting one another through life’s ups and downs. It’s a sentiment that resonates deeply with the couple, who have already shared over a decade together.
A Venue with Heartfelt Significance
When it came time to choose a wedding venue, the couple looked to Jordan’s late mother, Darlene, for inspiration. During a holiday in Fiji, Darlene had visited several beautiful chapels and told Jordan that she knew where they would one day get married. After her passing in 2022, the couple revisited the idea of a Fijian wedding. The stunning chapel captured their hearts, and it became the perfect way to honor Darlene’s memory and include her in their special day. Georgia and Jordan celebrated their wedding with 12 close family members and a longtime friend, keeping the day intimate and focused on the people who have been an integral part of their journey. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and the joy of being surrounded by those who matter most.
Finding the Dream Gown
Georgia’s bridal gown shopping experience was nothing short of magical. Reflecting on her experience at When Freddie Met Lilly, Georgia couldn’t have been happier. She was initially worried that the process would be long, stressful, and uncomfortable, but it turned out to be the exact opposite. From the first appointment, she knew she was in the right place, and it was the first and last shop she needed to visit. The custom-made dress was everything she had dreamed of and more, and the entire process was seamless and filled with joy.
As a plus-sized bride, she initially worried that finding the perfect dress would be challenging, but her experience at When Freddie Met Lilly was the exact opposite. From the moment she walked in, she was made to feel beautiful and was spoiled for choice. Georgia found a stunning flowy and floral gown with hints of pink, which was custom-made by Vanessa and the team after showing them a photo of a dress she loved. The entire process was stress-free and joyful, with Georgia feeling completely at ease throughout.
A Touch of Pink and Blue
When it came to styling the bridal party, Georgia knew that pink had to be the dominant colour. Jordan, knowing her love for pink, chose a navy and pink ensemble, which perfectly complemented Georgia’s vision. The bridal party was styled in pink and blue, serving as their "something blues" for the day. The floral arrangements were just as beautiful as Georgia had envisioned. She carried a bouquet of pink ginger flowers, which matched the bouquets held by her maid of honour and her ‘flower boys’—her brothers, who played an essential role in her big day. The boys also wore matching pink ginger flower boutonnieres, adding a cohesive and vibrant touch to the wedding attire.
Words of Wisdom for Future Brides
Georgia’s journey to the altar was guided by some sage advice from her mum: "Trust your gut, focus on what makes you and your partner happy, and don’t worry too much about what others think." It’s advice she passes on to future brides, along with the encouragement to explore a variety of ideas, even those that might not have been part of the original plan.
Georgia and Jordan’s love story is a beautiful reminder that sometimes, love finds you in the most unexpected places, and when it does, it’s worth every moment of the journey.
A Love Story in Paradise
Georgia’s wedding was a true team effort, with her mum and sister, Lucie and Brittany from Bella Brides, flying over to Fiji to help with the preparations. Their love and support meant the world to her and Jordan. Their special day was beautifully captured by Konrad Thorpe from Konnected Memories, ensuring that the memories of their wedding will be cherished forever. The Outrigger Fiji provided the perfect backdrop for their celebration, making the day even more magical.
Georgia and Jordan are not done celebrating their love just yet. They plan to re-wear their wedding outfits later in the year for another celebration, where they’ll take photos with their beloved fur babies—a sweet nod to the love they share not just for each other but for their pets as well.
