Lauren and Les had a perfect garden wedding, Lauren looked exquisite in her bespoke Heavenly gown! The couple couldn’t wait to be married and would not have postponed it for anything. Their back up plan was to livestream the wedding if most people couldn’t be there. Luckily, about 70% of the couples family and friends they wanted to be there were able to attend. COVID restrictions almost meant that more people wouldn’t be able to attend but thankfully the restrictions changed two weeks before the big day.
Everything ran perfectly on the wedding day. There were some concerns it was going to rain, the wedding team had a wet weather plan sorted just in case. Luckily, there were only two drops of rain!
Lauren knew she wanted a bohemian dress, but didn’t expect she would end up with a gold dress! She tried on about ten dresses, lastly, she tried on the Heavenly Gown from the Harper Collection she knew it was the one! It was a perfect fit and suited her beautifully!
On the day of the wedding, Lauren’s gorgeous bespoke dress made her feel so special! “No one else I know has ever had a dress like mine so I felt one of a kind! Everyone commented on how amazing my dress was” - Lauren.
Les wore a dark grey suit which looked divine with the gold gown. It offset the gold of the dress and green of the scenery and bridesmaid dresses really well. Les also wore a stunning gold tie.
Lauren loved coming into When Freddie Met Lilly and felt extremely supported and excited about her dress. We prioritise making the studio a positive environment and love making brides feel happy and excited, we know that choosing a dress can be a stressful experience and a lot of the time clients have already had a negative experience dress shopping before finding us.

Lauren and Les are very focused on supporting local businesses which even extended into their wedding! “My entire wedding was built on small, local businesses (even down to our wedding bands!)- you just have to know where to look!” - Lauren
