COVID-19 & School Formal

For high school graduates, 2021 is still a challenging year because of the pandemic. However, the formal day planning brings one last hurrah and a chance for them to kick back and reminisce for Year 12. Our formal girl Georgia told us more about her experience of finding the dream dress for her formal day!

Georgia shared with us her experience of her school formal day during COVID-19. She told us, "COVID-19 did not specifically affect my formal in any way, but for the dress, I wanted it Australian-made. During the school formal, everything ran smoothly and I had a beautiful evening."

The Dress…

Georgia was not quite sure what she wanted before visiting the WFML studio, just with the idea of a one-shouldered gown. After trying on about 8 dresses, Georgia found her dream dress; she fell in love with Faith Gown and knew it was for her! Georgia also shared how her fitting experience with us, "The gown is really special, unique and gorgeous, as I knew that it was made to suit me. Vanessa helped us to feel comfortable that we made the right choice in the gown we choose."

"The day of the formal was a big day." Georgia shares, "but once you are in your gown and the evening begins, it is all worth it! Make sure you choose a dress that is unique to you and makes you feel comfortable in your own skin. It was also lovely to have some time before the event with my family, and then spending the evening with my parents."

Final Thoughts

To support our formal girls coming in to find their perfect dress, we aim to make the searching process as easy, fun, and stress-free as possible. The girls at WFML aim to make your appointment worthwhile and fun, taking the stress of not finding your perfect gown away; even if you're unsure of what you want. Georgia said that it was lovely to see the whole outfit come together with the hair, make-up, dress and tan. She also reminded herself and other girls: "Make sure you look a few months in advance before the event, so there is enough time for the dress to come in."
