WFML Real Bride: Heather

Posted by on

"So funnily enough, we were actually married on the 13th July 2019 which was also our thirteenth anniversary. Lucky we don’t view 13 as an unlucky number." Continue reading to hear more about Heather and Marks's wonderful day.

Being known as "Team H" to family and friends, the lovely couple knew they wanted a fun, colourful, meaningful wedding that made them say "yes, that's us!". And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what they did. They painstakingly folded 1000 mini paper cranes that were used as aisle decorations, had a reading from The Nightmare Before Christmas during the ceremony, used a kick-ass neon cake topper and finally, incorporated two beautiful llamas! How fun does that sound!?When looking for her dream wedding gown, Heather did not think she would fall head over heels in love with a dress, however after meeting our Vanessa (a fairy godmother, as Heather calls her), that idea disappeared! Vanessa assisted Heather to find "her dress", which was actually a a bespoke gown made up of three of our designs.  "Normally, something like that would have have terrified me, not knowing what the final dress would look like but Vanessa, who must have magical powers, I just knew I could trust her." Mark chose his own suit and it was just perfect! Going with a handsome black velvet jacket, wedding guests kept coming up and stroking him!

Heather wrote these beautiful words about her bespoke gown from us here at When Freddie Met Lilly: "I almost didn’t want to put it on as I was too busy admiring all the details. I was still finding beautiful details on the morning of the wedding I hadn’t noticed before. I loved wearing it the whole day, I didn’t want to take it. It was so comfortable and dreamy, I almost slept in it. I was able to trek across the grounds of Sirromet Winery without issues, cuddle llamas and do a choreographed wedding dance without a second thought.Seriously, how special?! Thanks so much for letting us help create your dream wedding gown! And finally, Heather's top tip for future brides? - Think about what you will be doing on the day and make sure that the dress is suitable! - Have fun and enjoy your day, you're in good hands! Congratulations Heather & Mark!
