WFML REAL BRIDE: KIMBERLEY

Posted by on

Kimberley and her husband Bobby were hanging out as long as possible to see whether they would need to make the call and postpone their wedding. Thank goodness there was no need, everything was set to go and the couple were ready to be married as soon as possible.

Though Covid did not call for the couple to cancel their big day, a few of their guests were unable to attend so zoom calls on the morning of the wedding shared the excitement of their magical day.

Despite some small hiccups along the way the day was amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. It was a little windy but the sun was shining, the sea was as blue as ever and everything went according to plan. We couldn’t be happier!

As for my gown, I initially worked with Laura. Her warmth was infectious and she was so unbelievably helpful and patient when guiding me to my final decision. From then on, I was looked after by Vanessa. She was so lovely, always up for a chat, offered heaps of assistance and advice and made sure I was 100% happy with my gown. Even when I wasn’t entirely sure of the style of gown I wanted, Vanessa was so helpful in every way. She made the experience of crafting my dream wedding dress an absolute dream and it turned out as perfectly as I imagined. I tried on COUNTLESS dresses! So many that I can’t even remember, maybe 30!

In the end, my gown made me feel beautiful, feminine and free! I love my dress so much! It was exactly as I hoped it would be and I received so many compliments.

As for my husband's suit, he got it tailor made through another suiting company. He chose his own suit and I had no input into his decision - nor should I. I believe if I get to choose my dress in secret, he should be able to choose his outfit in secret too. He looked so handsome and it matched the seaside wedding and my gown’s ‘flowy’ style.

My advice to any other brides is to go to lots and lots of dress shops until you find ‘the one’. Don’t settle for anything less than your dream dress. Don’t be afraid to say no and ask for what you want - it’s your special day and if it doesn’t make you feel like a million dollars, then it’s not for you. Lastly, don’t worry about the budget so much - dresses are expensive but how you feel is more important.

Kimberley looked stunning on her magical day in her bespoke gown and we are so excited to have been a part of her day. We wish them every happiness.
