WFML Real Bride: Laura

The Big Day

When COVID- 19 hit, WFML Real Bride Laura and Husband Dan had to quickly adjust their wedding plans. Wanting to kick start their married journey they chose to go ahead of schedule with just a few tweaks! Moving to a little Chapel in Mt Tamborine, Laura and Dan were still able to have their picture perfect day with their close family and the rest of their guests joining them via Zoom.

Laura telling us, "Our day was absolutely beautiful. It was relaxing, super chilled and ran smoothly (part from a little rain). All our vendors - hairdressers, makeup and photographer were also super chilled so it worked with us."

WFML Experience

WFML was Laura's very first bridal dress appointment. Laura was a bit anxious as she was unsure what to expect. However, after meeting with Vanessa and trying on a range of different dresses, Laura had a wonderful experience.

Laura telling us, "I remember walking in so hesitantly and unsure what to expect and I was greeted by Vanessa. She instantly made me feel at home and comfortable. I did have a few ideas in my mind but trying gowns and seeing them on me, I was able to come away with a more solid idea. It was such a wonderful experience and I was able to put three dress ideas into one dress. It was unique to me and I loved it. The following appointments that I had throughout that day did not add up to the experience and love I had at WFML. So I made another appointment at WFML to go back and lock in my dress."

Laura also telling us,

"WFML was able to make changes, make my flower girls skirts, make me a leather jacket and take into consideration all that I had envisaged. I also got my jewellery from WFML which complimented by gown. I had also wanted to wear my mother's veil which my grandmother had made 38 years prior, so WFML girls were able to mend it and put similar detailing that was on my dress onto the veil so it worked and matched.

The WFML ladies made me feel so valued and loved. Vanessa made the whole experience so special. When everything else with my wedding being unstable due to COVID, one thing for sure was that my dress, jacket and girls skirts were going to happen and with the upmost care and love from the WFML girls. I couldn't be more grateful. Eternally grateful!!"

The Dress

Laura was able to create her perfect dress. Laura stating, "My dress was so comfortable, I loved not having to wear a bra or be forever pulling up my dress as it had small sleeves (singlet style, so narrow). It was easy to walk in and move around. I even was sitting on a cushion at our small picnic style reception."

(And didn't she look absolutely GORGEOUS!)

Advice for Future Brides

Laura left us with some amazing advice for future brides.

"You'll know what feels good and what your style is. Enjoy the process, don't be hesitant and allow the dressmakers and assistants to help you. We did go to another studio in Brisbane after being at WFML and the assistant was too busy answering emails and not giving me her full attention when I needed the help. I was quite disappointed as I felt like I was intruding on her time and didn't feel valued. But after my experience at WFML, I realised that it should be enjoyable and a very special moment when choosing your gown."

Congratulations to this gorgeous couple! We are honoured to have been apart of Laura and Dan's very special day!
