WFML Real Bride: Deb - Bridesmaids Dress

WFML Real Bride: Deb - Bridesmaids Dress

Posted by Vanessa Hoe on

Leading up to a wedding can be stressful, especially with a pandemic in the mix. Luckily for Deb and husband Rob their wedding was able to go ahead of schedule despite the fluctuations of COVID-19. With Deb telling us,

"We booked the venue for our wedding shortly after we got engaged, two years before our actual wedding date 2/01/21. Like everyone else, we had no idea what was about to unfold around the world. Being an interstate wedding, we went through some very stressful times wondering whether we would even be able to get to the venue, let alone any of our guests. In the end, we chose not to cancel any of our vendors that we had booked and just crossed all our fingers and toes, hoping that restrictions would ease in time for us to be married on our original date.

I honestly believe that someone was looking out for us because we were incredibly lucky. If our wedding had been booked one week before our wedding date, we would not have been able to have dancing and we had booked an amazing band! If our wedding had been one week after our date, we would not have been able to go on our honeymoon and guests would have had to self-quarantine. As it turned out, around 50 guests were able to travel interstate to come to our wedding."

How lucky were they?!

The Big Day

Deb had a clear vision for her wedding. With a farm / golf course booked for the weekend in the gorgeous central highlands of Tassie their guests were able to not only enjoy the wedding but have a little holiday of their own! With Deb stating their Big Day, "Was wonderful! Our vendors were all amazing and grateful for business starting to pick up after a terrible year. I am so thankful that we stuck to our original plan and did not cancel anything, it was perfect!"

"I had the wedding of my dreams and I have an amazing team of vendors to thank for that"

Bridesmaid Dresses

Deb also had a clear vision for her bridesmaids dresses! Telling us, "I knew the colour palette I wanted for my bridesmaid’s dresses. The venue being a farm, I wanted earthy tones. I admit I was a little picky about the shade of brown I wanted, but I was flexible about the style. One bridesmaid was my daughter and the other was my sister. Completely different generations and body types. I looked high and low in stores and online for the perfect style and colour to suit both of my girls, without any luck."

WFML Experience

After an initial meeting at the amazing Boho Luxe Bridal Expo, Deb made an appointment to discuss her daughters fast approaching senior formal dress. Deb telling us, "Would you believe the first dress we tried on was the one she fell in love with? Of course, it was called the ‘Debbie’ dress….it was meant to be!  We were so happy with the stunning 2 two-piece outfit that WFML created and the wonderful customer service, especially when the formal was postponed at the last minute due to Covid, that we decided to have her bridesmaid dress made by them also."

We found a picture of a dress style that we quite liked and bought it in to see if something similar could be made. One appointment was all it took to have fabric and style chosen and measurements taken. The end result, again, was stunning. Claire loves the dress and felt so beautiful wearing it. I appreciated the fact that even though I had already purchased my wedding dress before I met the girls at WFML, they were amazing at altering my dress to fit me perfectly at a very reasonable price. They also helped to accessorise my dress perfectly for the unpredictable Tassie weather, with an amazing ostrich feather shrug that I never would have thought to wear, but that looked amazing with my dress."

Congratulations to this gorgeous couple! What a lovely family! We loved being apart of Deb and Rob's magical day!
