WFML REAL GROOMS: SCOTT & KEITH

Posted by on

After being introduced by a mutual friend one evening in a nightclub back in 2001, Keith & Scott saw one another but knew the time wasn't right. Fast forward to 2004 when these two crossed paths again and became inseparable. After possibly the least romantic proposal of all time that involved a casual conversation about buying rings, the two were ready to spend the rest of their lives together! It was then that the fun wedding planning began! Keith knew for a long time that he wanted to wear a kilt and get married in the countryside and Scott's dream was to exit the ceremony to "Love at First Sight" by Kylie Minoque, so that, ladies and gentleman, is what they did.

They recalled the big day and mentioned a few special moments, including being walked down the aisle together by their only living parent, Scott's beautiful mum, and reminisced of the speeches put together by the bridal party that had them crying one minute and laughing the next. It ended up being quite an eventful day for the couple as the heavens opened up and showered them with a thunderstorm right as they were having photos taken and the caterer was cooking outside. However, they didn't let that (or the power outage during food service) dull their day - instead, they now look back on these as funny and memorable parts of the wedding. Scott mentioned that their ultimate memory from the whole wedding process was simply the amount of love directed straight towards two people in one space - how special!

We, here at When Freddie Met Lilly, were so thrilled to be able to help with the gowns and suits for Scott and their 6 gorgeous bridesmaids and groomsmen. It was such an honour to be part of your special day Scott & Keith - congratulations you two!

 In the midst of planning your big day? Here is some advice from the wonderful newlyweds, Scott & Keith;

"Be selfish to a certain level.  It’s your day so have what you want, when you want it and who you want."
