WMFL Real Bride: Melane

The Big Day

Deciding on the location of your wedding can be tricky. For WFML Real Bride Melane and husband Marcus they wanted a location that would be easy for family from Melbourne and Sydney to both attend. So Canberra was their perfect location!

With the fluctuations of COVID-19 they were fortunate to still have all their loved ones there making for an absolutely perfect wedding day.

Finding the Perfect Dress

Melane knew she wanted an evening gown rather than a traditional white gown. Stating,"I stumbled across WFML and loved the sequin gold gown. So incredibly glam - it was perfect!"

Coordinating with the WFML girls via email Melane was able to order her dream dress and have it delivered to her door step!

With Melane exclaiming, "I felt like a movie star and was told by everyone that’s exactly how I looked."

The WMFL Experience

Being in a different state Melane and the WFML girls were able to work together via email. Melane stating, "They were easy and prompt and certainly made me feel comfortable with my decision to purchase my gown without trying on."

Advice for Future Brides

Melane left us with some amazing advice for future brides:

1. Choose a style that is “you” and represents your style and personality. Buy from someone reputable and don’t listen to too many opinions.

2. We had a cocktail reception so there would be more time for mingling and dancing. The QT is quirky and colourful and I went with a bright palette to complement the venue. Our vendors were amazing and are honestly the key to the day running smoothly.

3. We did a “first look” and photos before the ceremony and I was so glad we did. I was feeling a little nervous in the morning but seeing Marcus and getting to spend some time with him was really fun. Remember a wedding is all about celebrating your love for each other.
