Our very own WFML Wedding: Vanessa & Adrian

Our very own WFML Wedding: Vanessa & Adrian

Posted by Vanessa Hoe on

A few years ago on a spectacular trip to the US, during a photoshoot for When Freddie Met Lilly's latest bridal collection no less, adoring partner of our very own designer, Vanessa, popped the question. After an overwhelming yes, the couple started planning what was regularly discussed as THE wedding of the century. With Vanessa's incredible knowledge of the industry and having some of Australia's best wedding vendors as close friends for so many years, it was always going to be a spectacular day to remember!

After a few rescheduled dates due to Covid lockdowns and worrying concerns that loved ones would not make it due to border closures, all the stars aligned and The Fordy's were able to finally tie the knot a few weeks ago.

On Friday June 11 2021, Vanessa married her best friend, confidant and love of her life in the most magical afternoon at The Old Dairy in Maleny.

Vanessa designed her wedding gowns herself (of course!) and they couldn't have been more perfect. Covered with her favourite hand-placed lace and paired with a flawless pair of Louboutin heels, it was a timeless look, admired by all who attended.

WFML's famous Dachshund, Coco, alongside their son Archie, best friends, sister-in-law, little nieces and nephew, Vanessa & Adrian's bridal party stood proudly by their side. During a beautiful ceremony by celebrant Carly Slade, vows were exchanged and came straight from the heart, cementing the irreplaceable love that combine these two individuals.

The Old Dairy looked absolutely stunning on the day - filled with beautiful boho-styling, picturesque rolling hills and an incredible reception setup. From the decorative glassware, to the personalised Classic Negroni wedding favours and long, candle-lined tables, all the details were curated to perfection. The Tipsy Mare made the most divine Espresso Martinis & Old Ironsides to get the rest of the night started, while the French Champagne continued to flow!

After speeches filled with laughter, many cheers to the newlyweds and a delicious dinner altogether, the Ford's hit the dance-floor with their nearest and dearest and rocked long into the night to Luke Dickens & his incredible band.

The day couldn't have been more perfect or well-deserved for two of our very own! And the celebrations did not stop there - Ness & Adrian decided to make it a 3-day gathering, all held at The Old Dairy! Cuisine On Cue put together a beautiful feast for the 'Recovery Party' the following morning and some of Ness' best girlfriends from Beautiful Weddings styled it to perfection. Then on the Sunday, a huge 'I-DO BBQ' was put on with other family members ad friends who were unable to make the big day. It was also a belated celebration for Adrian's 40th birthday!

The whole weekend was a DREAM! What a way to celebrate love, one another and their closest friends. So, from all of us at When Freddie Met Lilly, we want to send our biggest congratulations to the Fordy's - we wish you nothing but forever happiness.
