Wedding dress shopping can seem awfully overwhelming at the start and many brides often put it off! However, here at When Freddie Met Lilly we have purposefully designed a bespoke bridal shopping experience like no other. Our founder and designer, Vanessa Hoe, founded the label in 2012 after observing the lack of personalised bridal services around Brisbane and further, Australia. Her designs have been featured in New York Fashion Week and are renowned for their quality, intricate design and execution.
Named after Vanessa's gorgeous niece and nephew, When Freddie Met Lilly understands that your big day attire should be as individual as you are. If you fall in love with one of our designs, we will custom make it to fit your exact measurements, ensuring a perfect fit. We can also alter any of our designs to suit your preferences and can help design a completely bespoke garment just for you. That's just one example of the When Freddie Met Lilly experience.
Simply book an appointment on our website to determine a time with our talented team of stylists. Upon arrival to our beautiful oasis studio located in Bardon, we provide a complimentary glass of champagne for you while you peruse our racks of high quality designs (including a wide range of sizes and styles to suit all preferences). We will then show you to your fitting area and begin the exciting process of trying on your top picks! Your personal stylist will lead the appointment by recommending other designs to try on or slight alterations that could be changed to the neckline or lace, for example, until you find your dream wedding dress. We can work with any budget and timeline (although, the more time allowed for dress creation, the better, as each of our designs are handmade to your exact measurements). But, we can talk details on the day!
If you're unsure about what style of wedding gown you are after, we recommend bringing one or two of your closest friends or family (who promise to provide their honest feedback) with you as support for the appointment. After many years of experience, we find that brides often feel more overwhelmed when they bring lots of friends with them as all the opinions differ! You have to remember that this is your day and you should design a garment that makes you feel like your best self!
